Equality & Diversity
Pro Class supports fair access and professional treatment across its international qualification and certification activities. Standards should be applied consistently while recognising that appropriate support or adjustments may sometimes be needed.
Equality and diversity principles
- ✓
Treat learners, candidates, certification holders, centre personnel and applicants fairly and professionally.
- ✓
Avoid inappropriate discrimination, harassment or victimisation within PCC-controlled processes.
- ✓
Apply qualification, certification and centre requirements consistently and on relevant evidence.
- ✓
Use clear information and accessible communication where reasonably possible.
- ✓
Review barriers that could unnecessarily restrict fair access to Pro Class processes.
Reasonable and appropriate adjustments
Where an individual needs an adjustment to access an assessment or Pro Class process, the applicable qualification or certification requirements determine what can be changed without compromising the standard being assessed. Evidence may be required where appropriate.
Approved-centre responsibilities
Approved centres are expected to operate their Pro Class delivery activities consistently with applicable equality, learner-support and quality requirements. Centres remain responsible for complying with local laws that apply to their operations.
Raising a concern
Concerns about unfair treatment within a PCC-controlled process can be raised through the Contact page and may be considered under the relevant complaint, appeal, quality or conduct process.
