Enquiries About Results

A fair route for questions about examination and assessment results.

Enquiries About Results

A learner or candidate may sometimes have a genuine question about how an assessment or examination result was recorded or reached. An enquiry about results provides a route to raise that question under the applicable qualification or certification process.

An enquiry is not a guaranteed result changeA result should change only where the applicable review identifies a valid reason to amend it. Pro Class does not publish one universal deadline, fee, review stage or outcome rule across every qualification and certification scheme.
Scope

What can be queried

  • ✓

Whether a result or outcome has been recorded against the correct learner, candidate or assessment.

  • ✓

A concern that an applicable marking, assessment or examination process may not have been applied correctly.

  • ✓

A request for clarification about a result where the applicable process allows it.

  • ✓

Another results-related issue that falls within Pro Class responsibility rather than an approved centre’s local training activity.

Raising an enquiry

How to raise it

The applicable qualification or certification information should be followed where it sets a specific route. Where no separate public route is published, contact Pro Class with the credential or programme reference, relevant result information and a clear explanation of the concern.

Fairness

Review principles

Any review should use the relevant records and applicable assessment or certification requirements. The person reviewing the matter should have appropriate authority and, where required by the process, suitable independence from the original decision.
